Why do I have such problems with Outlook Express...??

As far as editing in Mozilla what do you mean? I haven't any trouble at all with Firefox especially the new release. Just make certain you check all your options under "tools" to see that it is set up to your liking.
And if you notice something not working right look for some extensions to add to it
That is what I like best about it I can choose how much or how little Firefox will do.
