My old man got hit with this and now his memory causes a hardware conflict. When he boots it fails to post, it starts beeping. My question is, is the memory done or is it something else. He has lost 2 512 sticks due to this.

How old is the motherboard battery?

Batteries sometimes cause all sorts of weird conflicts and boot errors.

Battery is good. His pc boots with his 256 stick. The worm hit the first 2 banks that held the 512s.
