Thanks to a post by Sprocket, I was motivated to use a VERY cheap game controller to add switches to my CH Products yoke.
Once stripped down to it's controller board, I soldered a few wires for the four buttons that I added to the yoke.
The switches were 12V automotive switches that only cost me $1.00 each.
The project worked out very well, I now have LEDs on the yoke showing the status of events such as whether or not the wingtip floats are down (a lit LED), or safely locked up and in place (light off).
If you can find a use for the game controller it can save you a lot of money in adding switches to your project.
Just make sure that it is a USB controller and FSX/P3d will recognize it and make it available for use.
