Hello,
I've been thinking... Anyone ever thought about using an Arduino board to control a simpit?
I was very interested in the possibility, but I reckon the complications lie in connectivity... The arduino can send a serial stream through it's USB port, and that can be used to drive a PPJoy virtual joystick, and then into FS through the beaten paths...
But one other option occurred to me that is more direct, and allows for 2 way communication between FS and the pit... and that would be to use an Ethernet Shield and talk to FS through FSConnect, which AFAIK, speaks http...
What do you guys think? It seems that this could enable great possibilities for a cheap simpit... you could make everything from gauges to turn-key switches and panel lights and all...
If I ever have the time to take on such a project, I'm definitely going this way
Cheers
