so it was back to wood

all drilled out and round filed from the inside out

there will be lots more to this as none of it is even made up for wiring yet - I hope to connect it all as a keyboard replacement - well thats the idea anyway.

So you are going to use this pit for type-training in a commercial setting, right?  :o ;)

Towerguy,

I can imagine how this is going to turn out at the end, of course if there is an end to cockpit building. Your work looks neat and it has a feel of professional touch. All your recent four posts revel that.

Talking of scavenging isn't that how we combat money. I have used two unexpected things when I made my over head panel. A white plastic cutting board and an old vinyl record whose songs I didn't care for.

Regards,

ermias

yes I have been eyeing up the plastic cutting boards in the local $2 shop, possibly to use when I redo the undercarriage workings ... but I hadn't thought about the big box of old vinyl records under the stairs!

[quote]- I am trying a variation on Johns method. I did find out that you cannot use an inkjet to print onto plastic card - it just doesn't dry and smudges badly
