Enclosing cockpit for realism

We want to put a "roof" on our cockpit to add more realism. However, I want to make sure that we are at least close to the actual view out the windscreens.

Anyone have measurements for the outside left, captain, copilot and right windows in a 737? Better yet, any building photos for an inexpensive way to do this? Maybe PVC? I would like to place a 15" touchscreen for an overhead panel above.

Thoughts on this?

wow, that's more info than I probably need. Good reference though.

My enclosure can't be actual size. I don't have the room. I just want to make sure I get the outside view as close to actual size as possible. I know I saw a simple way to make an enclosure that was simple. I can't find it now.

I'm not sure if some of these will fit all your needs, but there are some simple concepts for building an enclosure http://www.rogerdodger.net/diyflightsims.html

Thanks to Matt Thomas

Steve

If you can wait just over a month, I can provide you with the correct measurements

He's an aircraft mechanic.  The reason he has access to all this stuff is that he gets to work on these birds all the time.  And he is VERY generous in sharing the info.

SO one general "attaboy" there Matt.  Thanks for what you do for folks here at SimV.

best,
