FreeFD and X-Plane through Network Set-Up

Postby Nout » Sun May 17, 2009 12:56 pm

Hey guys,

I found this plugin called XPUIPC modeled after FSUIPC with allows MSFS add-ons such as FreeFD to be able to work with X-Plane. It works really nicely on the individual computer but does anyone know how to set-up FreeFD through the network.

For MSFS i know you need something called WideFS, but for x-plane? Or will WideFS also work for x-plane? I don't know how WideFS works so i have truly no idea

Hope someone can help me and all the other x-plane users!

Nout,

FSUIPC just acts as the "data extractor and insertor" for getting info in and out of fs2004 + FSX.  Wide FS fools software that needs the sim running to THINK it is running on the networked computer.

How this XUIPC sends data out to the netrowk is the question.  This is really new and not many pit builders use X-Plane ..... so you are kind of flying with out charts here.  VFR.

I think you need to read the docs that come with the X-Plane version of FSUIPC.  It MUST say something about this issue in there.

best,

Thanks, unfortunately XPUIPC does not have a manual. I'll try to contact the guy that uploaded it to the web.
