He he I'm gettin my taxes back hopefully in the next couple of weeks and I think I've decided what I want to buy. I am over at the PC Aviator website looking at the GoFlight B737 MCP Pro. Now I know it comes with software and USB cable. I was wondering, how would I go about interfacing this with the following aircrafts:

FeelThere 737-500
PMDG 737 (All versions)

Is the programing done within the software that is included with the MCP or is it done through FSUIPC?

I just want to make sure that I got all of my i's dotted and my t's crossed before I go and put down $499 which was supposed to be used to buy a Playstation 3.

As I remember from "reading around", there are some possible issues with the PMDG stuff because of their proprietary panel systems that they won't allow access to.  Go to the Goflight forums and see what they have to say.

The Goflight software has a "keymap" function that allows some work-arounds for stuff.

I have a bunch of Goflight stuff (including the Advanced Autopilot....not the pro) and the stuff works great and the service is great.

According to the Aerosoft website it is plug and play and compatible with "most" add-on aircraft.

"The GF-MCP Pro is also compatible with built-in FS2004 aircraft and most freeware or commercially available add-on aircraft

The GF-MCP PRO is a plug-and-play device that connects to a standard USB port or hub. No control units or additonal modules are required".

I use the MCP-Pro. It works with everything default and Level-D as-is. To get the PMDG to work, you must get the driver from Flight Sim Labs. I am using FSX so I don't know if this is needed for FS2004. Check on it.

Also, there is a guy selling a "like new" MCP-Pro at Avsim for $350. His user name is dithel21. As of the end of February, it was available.

The only issue I have found so far is that the speed and altitude do not show up in the Ellie Avionics when using the MCP in the PMDG 747. It does show up when using the default.

Thats good. I'll have to contact that guy over at Avsim. I think I'm going to use the FeelThere 737-500 as my base for the build instead of the PMDG 737. For some reason I like FeelThere's better than I do the PMDG version.
