As some of you know, I got the BU0836A thingy recently, and I got my first joystick to a working state...

Pretty impressive, huh? ;D

I'm just happy that I managed to solder everything and make it work on the computer without melting anything or burning myself.  Now, on to grounding, mounting, an enclosure, more buttons, switches, labels, and installation. :P ;D

I'll stay in touch... :)

Mobius,

I understand completely that feeling you describe.  Anyone who has not embarked on this journey does not fully grasp that one.

Congrats.  Now the sky is the limit.

best,

Looks better then my hot glue solder technique for sure. The BU0836 is a nice bit of hardware. Looking good ;)

Thanks guys.  I'm going to try a few combinations of buttons and switches to see what I can do. :)

It's a rotary pot off an old Saitek X36 that I Frankensteined into a new controller. :D ;)

Nice! With that controller you can add up to 8 knobs/potentiometers/switches?

Very interesting... Someday I got to start experimenting with this stuff!

8 potentiometers (like I have in the picture) and up to 36 different buttons.  That should be plenty for now. ;)
