Force feed back chair ?!

Postby ermias » Thu May 24, 2007 10:22 pm

Hi, all. I was just thinking about force feedback flight yoke when a thougth of a chair with force feedback capablity came to my mind.
I have this massaging padding made to spread on a chair from the seat all the way up to the top of the back of the chair. It has multiple speeds and intencity. All of a sudden a thought of using it for my being built flight simulator crossed my mind. My question is how can I integrate it ,using some kind of card,

There is a product (Thunderseat?) that is similar in concept to this... you might want to see what they've done and see how you might duplicate it.

Wow, this is very interesting. With a hope of finding how it works I will read more for the details.

well wouldnt the massage chair use wires that power the motors so you can control how much they spin and massage you? so if you took the wires from the joystick and put them into the wires that connect to the chair motors... wouldnt that redirect the motor spins to in your back n crack?

I've had one of the TFS units now for about 4 years. It's excellently built and been very reliable for me. The support you recieve from the creator is unbelievable.

Unfortunately the only flight sim software fully supported at the moment is MSFS. If thats what you use in your pit I'd recommend one unreservedly.

There is the promise of further titles being supported but this has been a long and slow process to date.

When I'm flying now I can honestly feel a stall develop. When I'm reading a map and flying by hand I can feel when the plane starts to bank and almost correct without visual reference. I can feel turbulence buffet my aircraft.

maybe not as essential as trackir but very usefull.

(I'm not connected in anyway with Ivibe just a very happy customer)

Bill.
