A Few toys...

While searching for parts for my upcoming 'pit I found a few thigs others might like:

1. Matrix Orbital active displays ( http://www.matrixorbital.com/ ). Very cool little toys, they can do a whole bunch of things that a sim pilot might want done. :) Those with programming skills can do even more...and should probably jump right on top of these so that the programs can be ready when I need them. :D

2. Zalman ZM-MFC1 Fan Controller ( http://www.zalman.co.kr/ ). I was looking for a fan controller that would fit nicely into my 'pit. I specifically wanted one that would look the part and seem to belong...this one is the obvious choice with a faceplate just begging to be replaced with something more "aviation".

3. Lilliput RV18-50NP 5'' Rear View Mirror TFT LCD Screen with Camera ( http://www.case-mod.com/store/product_i ... ts_id=1272 ). This gem is a possibility for anyone who is building a fighter cockpit...a real rear-view mirror! I'm not sure if it actually can be used as a computer monitor...but there are modulators out there that would give it the right signal.

I like the Phidgets servo stuff...but get you servos from http://www.towerhobbies.com if you are buying more than one or two. Cheaper prices, they go through a whole lot more of the things there. :)

You might also want to check out the various hardware sections at Tower Hobbies, things like gear trains, couplers...lots of stuff you might not know you need until you see it.
