In Australia stuff is very expensive (like $500 just for a yoke and rudder pedels).  Without spending too much money what is the best upgrade from a joystick that will get us lots of enjoyment?

Thanks ;D

**Cough**
Not all GA's use Yokes....

If ure looking for a joystick, i got the cyborg evo force, its abit outdated by the x-52, but its got force-feedback, which i think makes a difference, because of the pressure it gives when you move the stick.
mind the x-52 doesnt have force-feedback.

But i do fly GA's alot, and the cyborg is my choice.

cVk,

And not ALL "heavies" have yokes (ie. - Airbus).  But as a generalization........ it is pretty close.   :)

best,

Thanks for your advice.

I fly heavies most of the time (civilian).  I'm not sure of the exchange rate.  I buy all of my gear from within Australia and the CH products yoke is $256 and Rudder pedals $249.  And shipping is usually about $30-$50.

Chris,

I just found the exchange rate......... Austrailian dollar is $0.79 to the American $1.00.  So that doesn't account for the base difference in pricing.  Might be some import duties on electronics or computer peripherals or something.

best,
