Maybe some of you guys could give me some advice. I have constructed a small "button panel" with what was left over from a set of rudder pedals (see topic "home made rudder pedals") it includes, among other things, a trim wheel (more of a knob really), anyway, I mounted the knob directly to the stem of the potentiometer instead of using gears. it works fine, but it is a tad sensitive. I can deal with it if the sensitivity is turned way down. The problem is, when using it, and then switching to auto pilot I have problems, the AP cant keep a steady altitude. when I disable the trim wheel, and trim with the keyboard I do not have this problem. any advice? should I have used gears instead?
