Well, I'm not going for any particular design. Just something that will function in any mood of flying I'm in.

Skittles,
I recently saw your current Goflight setup in a post down in the "Your Site" Forum ........ or somplace like that. Gotta' say WOW once again.
One possible suggestion for your new "pit" that I would make is to try to make the "framework" that you are constructing to house the Goflight modules and the glass cockpit monitors look a bit more like a real aircraft main panel in basic shape. This of course depends on how much ROOM you have to work with ;).
The Goflight center pedestal/console is a nice core unit that you don't really have to deal with too much. However, if you tend to fly "heavies" more than light GA aircraft then you might want to relocate a lot of the radio stack down there and move more of the flight controls onto the main panel or onto a projecting "glareshield" section.
With the existing control setup you have...... I think that a simpit which you construct will be pretty awesome. That's already a LOT of hardware.
Please keep us all posted of the developments with news and pictures posted here. In fact.... can you move at least one of the pictures of your current setup from the other post into this Forum? I think "Homebuild Forum" visitors would be interested in seeing the "starting point" (not exactly a starting point either ;) ) you are at.
best,
.................john
