Stupid keyboard question

As I have had some unforseen things arise, my cockpit plans have been "moved to the back burner" so to speak. So I am having to go MUCH smaller and budget friendly with things.
My question is can I use two keyboards at the same time? I have my regular one, and have found a cheap wireless one that I could build into a small panel that could be moved when not in use (thats where the wireless part comes in handy!).
Is this possible or would I have to disconnect the main one wich is not usb before Using the wireless one?
Im just trying to keep my project alive through these rough times.
Thanks,

Kevin

if I remember correctly. an old post somewhere stated that a PS/2 keyboard can be mixed with a USB keyboard but m not totally certain. in my mind i dont see them working simultaneously.

i too may have to put my plans on the backburner for now since the only extra computer I had is not working correctly. it keeps restarting randomly.

Vchat,

I don't know where you are.... but here in the US...in the northeast...... machines that will run basic "glass cockpit" displays are available for free if you just put the word "out on the street".

Thrustmaster puts out something called a Tactical board that is basically a second keyboard.

Like most Thrustmaster stuff, you can program the keys to do what you want, (gear, select heading bug, select nav 1 etc).  the key lay out is made to be right hand friendly, but it works well for the left hand too.

I position mine in front of and above my throttle (I'm left handed) and labeled the keys with what they are programed for.  Its a great addition to my cougar.

It has a comm area that I program with the keystrokes to change Team speak channels like preset freqs...  I like it ---  it works well for me.
