I have a second monitor for instruments and all you need is a video card with two outputs or a second card. Once you have both monitors working you can drag the instrument windows over to the other monitor. I have split my second monitor output so I have instruments in the copilots seat as well

Good Luck

You can use USB Video cards which will let you plug in as many monitors as you like for around $ 50.00 each. check the many they have in Amazon...just plug the usb connector and then plug your second or third monitor to the card and off you go....it comes with software by which you control the video. I have two monitors to an envidia card and added this usb one for a third where I have all the instruments.... ;)
