Rudder pedal project resumes!! (part 2)

Another helpful accident is that although the tube is snug on its shaft, it's tweakable for now. this'll help me set the pot/pedal interface up right, then I can glue it.

Had to mock it up to check the ergonomics before I continued... originally the base was going to be the other way, with the controller hidden beneath. but it made everything too high for my desk, so.... better anyway: I will now have easy access to the controller- especially the battery holder!! ;D

Since the bars are only attached in the center, I added some casters to support the weight and still allow easy movement. These are pretty cheesy, but they'll do for now.

Set the unit in place, and... very nice. Very comfortable. I even came up with a better plan for using a bungee to return the pedals to center, but I may not need it: this rig is pretty snug. Maybe later i can rig some sort of detent, and just use my feet to click it into the center position. Until then, every plane will probably handle a little like a worn-out rental Cessna... ;D

That's it for now... more pix soon,as progress continues.
