But then you wouldn't have that great a resolution and you'd have to figure out how to get the display to wrap around you

That's sweet, but if that were my setup, I'd have found a way to remove or modify the cases for those CRTs so I could minimize the gaps. Budget  permitting, of course, doing that with LCDs would really be something!!
