My F-16 combatstick (PLEASE!!!!!!)

Postby michaelb15 » Sat Dec 20, 2003 9:18 pm

I would like to convert this joystick into rudderpedals, maybe make a swichboard, and a 2 engine throttle......

I am looking for a crashcorse on how to do that....

Ok, It is a gameport joystick, has 3 axis (throttle, y axis, and X axis) I am planning on simply making the X axis my rudder, Y axis 1 engine controller, and the throttle axis for my other throttle..... It has 2 four way hat switches, and 6 other buttons . . . . Hmmmm.... I hope that this is enough info.....

I have a Logitec wingmen FFB, and it has another 3rd throttle, that I am planning to disable

Oh, I am not wanting to spend maybe more then $20 on it :)

Thankyou all very much

edit-What does it take to get a reply!!! >:(

ok, I guess I didn't post much information ::) ah, ok... I don't mind how they look, just want them to funtion properly..... Same with the throttles... Maybe a bit nicer, because they would stay on top of my computer desk, and I would want it to look sorta good ::) After I am done making it, I will probably take a black spray paint can, and paint them all up, so, that is out of the way :)

BTW, the logitec will be my joystick for ailorons & elevators, and I am also thinking a leaver for landing gear (maybe can make that with a button somehow) and also a flap leaver (2 buttons required for that) and also a speedbrake/spoiler lever (with yet another button) and toebrakes (with the remaining 2 buttons)

So, I will check out those posts about the rudder pedals, Thanks alot!

PS- I havnt lookid into it, but is it straight forward to assign fs2004 to multpule joysticks (I don't mind to edit the FS9.cfg file if I have to)

I will look into that later on tonight when I have 5 mins tonght ;)

Michael,

The "axis assignments" in FS2004 are VERY straightforward to adjust.
