Yeah, yeah, it's now the SimObject\Airplanes folder.

Unfortunately, many FS9 aircraft with autoinstallers are set for the Aircraft folder...

so...?

ADD IT IN!

[Main]
User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter
SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes
SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft
SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles
SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats
SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals
SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc
SimObjectPaths.6=Aircraft

From my point of view, for a developer, this creates an additional folder to have one's "test" builds

For that matter, you can create additional folders - Props, Jets, Military,

My little unfinished Erla loves FS-X

ACtually, yes - two - a Mig 15 and Sopwith Strutter - both for FS2000  Smiley

I take it the entries you mention are in the Registry? I didn't find (yet) any place in the Registry where the items could be entered, please more specificity? Thanks!

I too am having trouble finding which file contains this information.  It looks like a .cfg file, but which one, please?

Here's my "Main"section that I've been using for a couple of years. Note that
"SimObject" folders can reside ANYWHERE as long as the path is defined here.
Plus, if you have no need for "Animals", all you need to do is comment out that
entry, as I have.

Code:
[Main]
User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter
SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes
SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft
SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles
SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats
//SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals
SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Misc
SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Aircraft
SimObjectPaths.6=M:\FSX AI Aircraft
SimObjectPaths.7=M:\FSX Military AI
SimObjectPaths.8=I:\FSX Military Aircraft
SimobjectPaths.9=I:\FSX A6 Aircraft
SimObjectPaths.10=SimObjects\Propliner Aircraft
SimObjectPaths.11=ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAI_AIRCRAFT

Thanks.  Here's the solution: the filename is fsx.cfg and it is located in Documents and Settings... folder.  Search your hard drive for fsx.cfg with the option to search in hidden and system files checked and it will turn up.
