Used to watch a series here on TV called "Ice Pilots" running an airline in Alaska..and I really envy those peoples rugged lifestyles,
and where airplanes are the center of their world..

Good point thanks :D ...I'll duly change it to the proper format...I think maybe G-JANH, of which H is the first letter of my surname..

Not quite ready for multiplayer yet..I'm really a poor pilot so I don't know if I'll ever be

Aircraft Registration...>>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_registration

Useful to know where aircraft originate from!

I change most of my "N" registered aircraft to "G" registered types!

On -Line Multiplayer: Lots of fun (and slightly educational) when you get someone to join you. Give it a try using FS Host...>>> http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/ all the details you need for FS 2002/FS 2004/FSX!

Cessna 310B (the model Sky King used to fly)

While we're dreaming, a Citation X (the world must look pretty wonderful at 51,000 feet)

Heinkel 178. German jet aircraft prototype. First flew 8/27/39, 4 days before Nazi invasion of Poland. First jet aircraft to fly. Original destroyed by Allied air raid over Berlin in 1943. If Hitler had gotten a working jet fighter in the air any earlier than he did, so much the WORSE for humanity.

Big fat heavy: MD-11. No question about it. The GE-CF6-80c2s. In and out of anywhere important.
Bizjet: Citation Sovereign, because I work on them, and they're a great airplane. Or all out Global Express.
Fighter: F-15. Superiority at its pinnacle. No chance any attainable jet can take it.
Long range munitions delivery: the Rockwell B-1B. Awesome. Drops more than a B-52, and flies like a fighter jet.
Carrier ops: F/A-18E. Like it needs an explanation.
Old prop beauty: the Lockheed Constellation. Nuff said.

I'm not sure what purposes for choosing an airplane I may have missed, but for all I'd need one for, that'll do for me.

Hey, wahubna... we think alike! Now I wish one of the Creative types out there would make a Catbird for FS9/FSX/P3D! If someone did, that would be my #1 airplane!!

hello to you: the jets I like to fly:

a B-17 I would like to fly. my dad was a navigator/bombardier on one of those B-17s. and a A380 and make it into an flying rv. with some modifications in the passengers cabin. I also like B777 up there near the top where A380 is. I would say A380 first and B777 second that I like to fly.

First thought, a P-51D. But if I suddenly became wealthy and had to get some personal air transportation with room for some friends I think the Grumman Gulfstream turboprop would be my choice. Hopping into the Gulfstream with three or four pretty young female friends for a trip to the Bahamas seems like the perfect way to spend a weekend.

If I was to choose one plane it would have to be the Cirrus SR22. Something about the side stick <<q instead of a yoke and the general shape of the aircraft appeals to me. :D
