Continuing with the Non Direct Cross Country
Tried a couple of different liveries...
Flight Plan: "VFR"
Departure: Abbotsford (CYXX) British Columbia, Canada
Destination: Campbell River (CAE3) Seaplane Base (SPB) British Columbia, Canada

Picture of Starboard Main Gear....Notice these Consolidated PBYs/Catalinas/Cansos had No Flaps...the small window in the pylon just above and forward of the starboard blister is where the Flight Engineer sat, he could only see left or right...this position was eliminated on the Civilian Cansos I flew.
The Canso equipped with port and starboard blisters flew a little faster than the Canso equipped with doors. We used to load/unload everything from 45 Gallon Drums, Equipment, Food etc through these side blisters/doors...a lot of man handling...there were no hard/soft surface runways so the Canso replaced the Douglas DC3 on wheel/skis during the summer months. We called them Pig Boats...
