I've just realised its 56 years since the beginning of the Berlin Blockade today.
Thank goodness for all those brave aviators who saved Berlin from starvation.

Yeppers.
It was an awesome and unbelievable project to supply a city from the air which worked out very well thanks to the thosands of aviators and other helpers who kept the "air bridge" up and running.

I wonder how the battle of Stalingrad would have turned out if Hitlers project of supplying the encircled troops from the air had worked as well as the "Berlin air bridge".
