Greg Lake has died

Postby Apex » Thu Dec 08, 2016 1:22 pm

The voice of early King Crimson, ELP, and others, a great rock star has passed. I wore out all those great albums long ago, listening day after day. We owe much to those who give us the gift of great music. RIP Greg, we're sorry to see you go. Thanks for everything.

Just read it on the BBC website, very sad news, my thoughts are with his family. A truly great talent and especially remembered at this time or year for I Believe in Father Christmas.

I had the great pleasure to see Emerson, Lake & Palmer in concert just a few days after I left the Air Force, in 1977. Greg Lake's voice was clear, powerful, sounded even better than what you hear on ELP's wonderful recordings. It was a perfect performance, flawless. He was a truly great musician and vocalist.
