27th August 1990 Stevie Ray Vaughan and some of Eric Clapton's people died in a helicopter crash.

Yep agreed. A fan myself.
I'm sure there were a few jokes at the time about heaven needing another great guitarist to play with Hendrix, etc --- or maybe one of them didn't actually get there .... :lol: :lol: :lol:

I saw Stevie Ray & Double Trouble a few times in the 80's; the most memorable was when he toured with Jeff Beck in '89.

What powerful and soulful music Stevie Ray created!
