Red Dwarf. Wow, that was just the coolest stuff, a Sat nite regular on local PBS. Along with other Brit greats, like Black Adder, Allo Allo, Brittas Empire, and of course, Dr. Who, PBS had a great line up. And let's not forget Monty Python and Benny Hill.

Nowadays, PBS is too high class, or so they put them selves out as being, and all those great BritComs are no more.

They still broadcast Are You Being Served each day, OK, that's a good show, get's a little monotonous, but good still, but it's been run into the ground.

Seems viewers just can't comprehend or appreciate way out humor like Dwarf and the others.

I can't believe two more series, I don't know who is happier, my daughter or me! I remember Dwarf starting when I was in secondary school, I recently got her into it. Nobody else in her school knows what a smeghead is :-D

So do I, but he was rather miffed when the last two series the writers asked him to do the part, he cancelled a few engagements and then the writers changed their minds. Apparently he burnt a few bridges when speaking his mind about it.....

I don't care much for Rimmer, but give me Talkie Toaster any day:

Toaster: "Howdy doodly do. How's it going? I'm Talkie, Talkie Toaster, your chirpy breakfast companion. Talkie's the name, toasting's the game. Anyone like any toast?"
Lister: "Look, I don't want any toast, and he doesn't want any toast. In fact, no one around here wants any toast. Not now, not ever. No toast."
Toaster: "How 'bout a muffin?"
Lister: "Or muffins. We don't like muffins around here. We want no muffins, no toast, no teacakes, no buns, baps, baguettes or bagels, no croissants, no crumpets, no pancakes, no potato cakes and no hot-cross buns and definitely no smegging flapjacks."
Toaster: "Aah, so you're a waffle man."

If it weren't for Rimmer screwing up all the time Lister would probably be back on Earth and the series would be over.

I was always amused by Krytens "Groinal Attachments"......I'm easily amused.

I hope the new series is better than the last resurrection in 2008. It was OK but not a patch on the earlier series.
