How noisy is it where you live (in the US of A, anyway.. )

Here's a handy-dandy map, the National Transportation Noise map. No surprise, but the noisiest areas are around airports, which stand out like sore thumbs as streaks or crosses, or asterisms. Oddly enough, it you look at, for example, Shreveport, LA, you see Shreveport Regional to the left, Shreveport Downtown airport to the north, yet Barksdale AFB is strangely "quiet". I can say for sure that BAFB has more traffic and louder aircraft (B-52's are not subtle, when it comes to noise) than Shreveport!
