It would help if you told us which plane and where did you download it from.
A good example of a Knee-board would be the default Mooney or the default Cessna look for the icon with a check mark in it then refer to the panel cfg file and you will see how it is installed. You can put a knee board in any aircraft you want.
this is an example of what to look for
this was in the Main window of a Cessna C 414
gauge53=c414_sw!Icon Kneeboard, 922,600,20,20and the below line is the actual gauge being used
gauge01=c414_sw!Icon GPST, 91,63,145,123 The hard part of this is knowing where to put the gauge the numbers after the word Kneeboard are coordinates as to where to put the gauge. the problem is it might not show up where you want it to
To take out the guess work on where to put the gauge you need a program called FSPLANET STUDIO it actually shows you the panel you will see in FS there is a demo version as well as this is a payware program.
You simply drag and drop the gauge where you want it at and it is done. It does not get any easier than that.
http://fspanelstudio.com/There are a couple of recent posts about this where someone tried it out and could not believe how easy it was to alter any panel.
Mind you this only works on 2D panels and Not 3d panels as they are part of the original aircraft design.
