Postby Stevebarker12 » Sat Jan 21, 2017 2:19 pm

Does anyone know how to delete the 3wirex program that runs with flight deck 6?
I have removed it using uninstall programme and also removed flightdeck 6 and removed aicarriers but it keeps firing up each time I run fsx.
I want to get rid of it off my fsx and get rid of flight deck 6
Than you for your help
Kind regards

Are you SURE that it's not just a part of Flight Deck 6 that was infected by a virus? Just to be safe, run an online virus scanner. Your own anti-virus program could have been altered to allow it, so you can't trust it.

After checking that, download Revo Uninstaller FREEWARE. The pro version isn't needed.

Next, re-install Flight Deck 6.

Now uninstall Flight Deck 6 with Revo Uninstaller. Revo will find ALL parts of Flight Deck 6 and remove it. Revo is FAR more thorough than Windows uninstaller.

If you still have any part of Flight Deck 6 running then it's probably a virus.

As per my earlier comments about dll.xml
You need to save a copy of your dll.xml file, and then open it up with note pad. Find the entry in that file for the add-on you want to de-activate.

you are looking for text that looks something like this:

<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Flight Recorder</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>Aerosoft\Flight Recorder\AS-FlightRecorder.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

...where <Name>Flight Recorder<NAME> would have the name of the program you want to disable.

Edit the disabled line to look like this...
<Disabled>True</Disabled>

I don't know if you can actually remove the entries without damaging the file, but you can edit the xml to tell FSX to not start the addon when you launch FSX.
Save the file back to where you got it from and see if FSX now ignores that add-on.
