UK 2000 scenery installation problem

Postby tinpusher » Wed Aug 24, 2016 3:31 am

Hi all,
Just downloaded UK2000 pack 1 through 8.
Pack 1 contains the auto installer. After activation of the installer a pop up screen appears with the message 'FS 2004 is not installed in the correct folder'. That is right, I installed FS2004 on another HD. Besides I am very wary of auto installers generally and want to have control over what I add and where.
So I am stuck, because installation aborts.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Ron

I've just downloaded the Demo versions of Pt 2 & 3 to check this out. Like you, my FS9 is not in the default location. Despite the warning that FS9 is not properly installed I discovered that you can redirect the install path of the auto-installer to whichever location you wish using the Browse button. This will extract the files to a folder named UK 2000. Ignore the second part of the install process & activate the area from the Scenery Library in the usual way.

Thank you, Hagar!
After running the installer as an administrator and following your directions it is working fine.
I am going to explore the other packages now.
Thanks for your help.
