FS2002 Pro ATC and new Airports

I finally managed to create a new airport using ASD from Abacus. How do I get add on Navaids ie VOR, ILS, Tower etc to be recognised by ATC and appear on the Map.  ATC vectors me to the Airport and descends me to 2000 ft but will not vector to a rwy or localiser.
