Multiple Repaints needed

Postby GhostRider203 » Wed Mar 26, 2014 2:16 pm

I'm pretty good with graphics but have next to no experience with re-paints, and need several done.

I'm needing the following done

737
747-400 & 747-800
757
767
777
787
A380-800

Captain Sim C-130J-30

For the Boeing and Airbus I was thinking something like this...
only the white would be polished aluminum, and the red would be white

Image

Where the globe thing is, would be our badge...
Image

Above the windows, over the wing would be "HERO-OPS" in the AmarilloUSAF font, and under the windows forward of the wings would be "Supporting Our", and under the windows, aft of the wings, "Nation's Heroes"

I'm still unsure about this, but on the nose...perhaps this...?
Image

As for the C-130...

HERO-OPS, again, would be in the AmarilloUSAF font, the color of the herc wouldn't change, and the badge could be subdued.

Why not do it yourself if you have the basic graphics knowledge ....

Pete, mainly because I can't get it to look as good as I would like.

What I envision, is the polished aluminum to look like the American Airlines birds did before they changed to their new paint scheme.

Go for it. for the badge, copy the image URL and open it that way as it's a PNG w/ transparent background :)

Just a friendly heads up, the badge is ONLY to be used for this purpose, as it IS a copyrighted by HERO-OPS, LLC (for whom I do work for and did design the badge for. I have the go-ahead from My boss to do this).

You need the AmarilloUSAF font?

Ok GhostRider, Copy That! :P

Yes I think I do need that font. Let me go through my many fonts and see for sure. Is
that a public font?

Ok, Cool!

I started and am about halfway finished blanking the "JAL" fuse textures of
the "Ready For Pushback" 747-200.

I could just do a quick cut and paste over blanking but I don't like doing that
cause I think it makes for a sloppy finished product.

It takes me a while longer to repaint cause I don't have the programs with all
the bells & whistles like some folks. I did try one of them... I couldn't make
heads or tails of those gadgets, those "bells & whistles".

Can't teach this mutt new tricks apparently.

Good luck with the polished metal look, not sure how that is done. Best I've managed to do is a shiny silver paint look.

One of the best FS9 fuselages, if not thee best I've seen is SectionF8's North American F-86 Sabre. Absolutely incredible model!

For those new members who may not have had the pleasure yet. SectionF8's North American F-86 Sabre Your going to love this!
