Well........the wife has gone overseas for a couple of months......and took the kids, which leaves me with some time on my hands and I plan to be really busy
I am gonna do a complete rebuild of my FS set-up!!!
First thing I did was replace my tired old CH yoke with a Saitek yoke, an extra TQ, and a Saitek trim wheel. I have an extra monitor which I want to export some gauges too. I have recently acquired FS panel studio and I intend to use it to build suitable gauge packages to undock and move onto the separate screen.
I am hoping to gain some insight from others who have more experience in running two monitors with this kind of configuration. It is not my intention to make a dedicated simulator, my taste in planes varies from small single GA, to GA twins, and the occasional short haul in smaller commuter jets......So I want to have a few different instrument set-ups to suite those three styles of AC.
My question on this is should I be trying use the mini-panel function to make a few panels that can be used globally? Or should I be just re-sizing and re-arranging the existing panels for each plane that I want to use?.....I kinda like the minipanel idea because it seems like it would be easier to make only three layouts.
Any insight or thoughts would be appreciated....I upload some pics in the coming days
